"Nice local vibe, though it felt a bit rushed"
I stopped in and really liked the local, laid-back feel of the shop right away. The place had a cool vibe and seemed like somewhere I’d want to hang out for a bit. The only thing was the staff seemed busy, so the visit felt a little rushed overall. Still a nice spot, just maybe better when it’s not as hectic

"Packaging could’ve been better"
My order showed up fine, but the box was a little beat up and the tape looked kind of messy. To be fair, everything inside was safe and nothing was damaged, so it wasn’t a huge deal, but the packaging definitely could’ve been cleaner.

"Solid shop, but yeah, the prices are definitely up there"
I’ve ordered a few fly tying odds and ends plus some leaders from Trouts, the whole process was totally fine. The site was easy to use, shipping showed up without any drama, and nothing about the order felt sketchy at all.
That said, I’m basically 100% convinced some of their prices are higher than what you can find elsewhere if you poke around for five minutes. A few things seemed fair, but I definitely found other items cheaper later. I’d still buy from them if they had something specific I needed, but for the best deal, they would not be my first stop

"Felt like they were trying to get through it fast"
I felt like the lesson was rushed. The instructor seemed kind of distracted and moved through the basics so quickly that I couldn’t really keep up. It almost felt like they just wanted to check the session off and move on, which made it harder to ask questions. I ended up leaving more confused than when I started.

"Helpful advice from people who actually fish"
I ordered a few things from troutsflyfishing.com and, if I’m remembering right, I had a question about pairing a rod with the right line. The response I got from the staff was really helpful and didn’t feel salesy or pushy at all. From my experience, they seem like people who genuinely fish and know the gear, not just someone reading off a product page. Shipping was okay too, though it took a bit longer than I was hoping. Overall, I’d give them 4 stars.

"Not much to choose from anymore"
I was disappointed today because the selection felt really limited. I also don’t love how the terms seem to keep changing, which makes the whole experience a bit frustrating compared to before

"Reeeally solid flies"
These flies looked great right out of the pack and felt well made. Took them out on the water and they held up waaay better than I expected.

"I like the site overall, but a few..."
I like the site overall, but a few flies and sizes I was looking for were out of stock, which was kind of a bummer lol. I still ended up finding a few things I wanted, so it wasn’t a dealbreaker. I just wish the inventory was updated a bit better. Shipping was fine too.

"Not sure if I was expecting too much"
The guide service was disappointing. The guide seemed rushed the whole time, and I kept wondering if maybe I was just being too picky or had the wrong expectations, but it didn’t really feel like we got the full experience

I opened my order and was confused because the flies I got weren’t the ones I ordered at all. I’m not sure if there was a mix-up somewhere, but this definitely wasn’t what I was expecting

"Shipping was slower than I expected"
I ordered this thinking it would go out quickly, but it kind of just sat there for a few days without much of an update. By the time it finally arrived, I didn’t really need it anymore. To be fair, everything did show up fine, but I probably wouldn’t order from here again if I needed something in a hurry.

"I had to send back a pair of..."
I had to send back a pair of waders that just didn’t fit right. The return process on troutsflyfishing.com was straightforward, and they got back to me quicker than I expected. The refund took a few days once they received the waders, which seemed totally reasonable. My only small gripe is that the return label info could’ve been a little clearer, if that makes sense.

"Couldn’t even get through checkout"
I was trying to buy something, but the site kept lagging and the menus were all over the place. I couldn’t find what I needed half the time. Whoever runs this really needs to clean it up, because I ended up just giving up before I could even check out

"Helpful support, but a little slower than I’d like"
Support did get everything sorted out in the end, which I appreciate. I’m particular about quick responses when something needs fixing, so it felt a bit slower than my usual standard, but overall they were helpful.
